The President of the Board of Trustees of Bayt Al-Hikma, Dr. Naim Abd Yasser Al-Aboudi, received in his office today, Thursday, 9 July 2026, the Secretary-General of the Arab Federation of Scientific Research Councils, Prof. Dr. Abdelmajid Benamara, accompanied by the Assistant Secretary-General, Dr. Bahaa Al-Saabri, and the Executive Director of the Federation, Dr. Hatem Nseir.

 

The visit was held to congratulate Dr. Al-Aboudi on assuming the presidency of the Board of Trustees of Bayt Al-Hikma, wishing him success in carrying out his new responsibilities and expressing confidence that his leadership would further strengthen the institution's scientific, cultural, and intellectual role while consolidating its position as a leading center of knowledge in Iraq.

 

During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for scientific and research cooperation between Bayt Al-Hikma and the Arab Federation of Scientific Research Councils, as well as ways to develop institutional partnerships that would support scientific research, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and enhance communication among Iraqi and Arab research institutions.

 

Dr. Al-Aboudi expressed his sincere appreciation for the visit, reaffirming Bayt Al-Hikma's commitment to expanding cooperation with Arab scientific and research institutions, strengthening joint initiatives, and addressing the scientific and intellectual challenges facing the region.

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination and cooperation between Bayt Al-Hikma and the Arab Federation of Scientific Research Councils in implementing joint scientific programs and initiatives, while further promoting the status of Arab scientific research.
